Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a report of suspicious behaviour near the riverside in Wallingford.
Two young females were enjoying recreational activities by the river when they became aware of a male who appeared to be filming or photographing them on a mobile phone. After leaving the area, they noticed the same male following them. The male reportedly continued to watch them, making repeated eye contact and moving around their location, causing them concern.
The girls subsequently sought assistance from a member of the public who helped them and remained with them while they left the area.
The male is described as: • White male
We are particularly keen to identify and speak with the woman who assisted the girls. She was feeding ducks in the area and is believed to have distinctive pink and blue hair. She may have important information that could assist our enquiries.
If you are this woman, witnessed the incident, recognise the description above, or have any relevant CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage, please contact Thames Valley Police quoting reference 43260449272.
As a reminder to anyone enjoying our rivers and open spaces: ✅ Trust your instincts if a situation doesn't feel right.
We would like to thank the member of the public who assisted on this occasion. Looking out for one another helps keep our communities safe.
